The pattern at the center of this panel is one I created by mirroring a section of a larger pattern called kiri. It's featured in my book, The Art of Kumiko, where I give detailed instructions for making it. This kit includes the frame strips, with notches, and plenty of strips without notches to make the dogwood blossom and all the hemp leaves surrounding it. It does not include material for making the painted frame, fabric, tools, guide blocks, or the joy in my heart when I make this panel.
To make this panel, you need guide blocks A, B, C, D, and the 90º birdsmouth jig.
