At the center of this kumiko panel is a large asa-no-ha. The pattern surrounding it has the look of a bright star at night, so I call it starburst. It's a new pattern for me, and one that I have not seen before. Combined with ample negative space, the panel has a calm beauty. The kit consists of notched strips to make the frame, and strips without notches to make the patterns. You need only two guide blocks (C & D) to make both patterns. I also that pair of blocks in cherry with a painted angle numbers and logo.
